In company with “sprinting” in the investment of urban infrastructure and justification, Hau Giang Power Corporation also focuses all force resources on hastening the construction progress of electrical works for serving the first Viet Nam Rice Festival. In the conversation with Hau Giang press reporters about this matter, Mr. Nguyen Viet Tho, Director of Hau Giang Power Corporation told:

The Steering Committee on power supply for serving the first Viet Nam Rice Festival initiatively established by Hau Giang Power Corporation with the responsibility of each member assigned specifically. Basing on this, the electronic engineering made the priority plan of the execution sequence for each works and each area right after getting the organization plan and the diagram of the area where the ceremony of the first Viet Nam Rice Festival is going to be taken place. Also, the electric grid on the route of 3/2 street, the central route towards the area where the first Viet Nam Rice Festival is going to be taken place, has been moved and the execution of this grid has been deployed initiatively.

* Dear Sir, what difficulty shall the electronic engineering face in hastening the execution progress?

This is the works located on the route of the national high way with a great traffic density and a great deal of affairs, so it is required that the electronic engineering shall try and focus all force resources for ensuring the execution progress as planned. There are more than 1,200 m in length and about 27-28 electrical posts (in which 7 - 8 coupled posts), which created difficulties in moving the electrical grid on the route of 3/2 street. The majority of electrical posts located in low land, so the execution time lasted and the costs of execution increased. Therefore, to hasten the progress as planned, the electronic engineering shall gather all its force resources with about 80 persons (including external hired labours) and prompt for moving the said electrical grid within 20 days. Until the date of 28 October, moving the electrical grid on the route of 3/2 street has been completed basically by the electronic engineering.

* The electronic engineering not only focuses on moving the electrical grid on the route of 3/2 street but also shall have the plan of power supply for functional areas during the time when the first Viet Nam Rice Festival is going to be taken place. So, how has this plan been deploying so far, sir?

Hau Giang Power Corporation has upgraded promptly 3 electric power stations serving the stages and the areas of stalls. Also, the capacity of some electric power stations has been strengthened for assuring the power supply serving all activities within the scope of the first Viet Nam Rice Festival as well as the township and some other areas during the time when the Festival is going to be done. Besides, Hau Giang Power Corporation has lodged the written proposal to EVN-2 and Southern Power Regulation Center for the priority of maintaining the electricity in Vi Thuy power supply station (the main power supply station of Vi Thanh township) as from the date of November 09th to the date of December 15th, 2009 inclusively. The Electronic Engineering has been carrying out urgently the remainder in the plan of power supply serving the main activities of the first Viet Nam Rice Festival for completing the works on the coming November 16th as planned.

* The moving work of the electrical grid on the central road line towards the area where the ceremony is going to take place and the plan of power supply serving the rostrums, the stages and the areas of stalls have been already completed basically. And how is the maintenance work of the electrical grid in the whole township, dear sir?

The maintenance work of the whole electrical grid from the power supply station to Vi Thanh township has been completed by the electrical engineering so far. Co-ordinating with Hau Giang Urban Works – Water Drainage and Supply Company for checking the total capacity of the lighting system in Vi Thanh township and Vi Thuy. Also, the electronic engineering has checked the loading capacity of all hotel and restaurant systems and the places where the conferences and competitive festivals are going to be done within the scope of the first Viet Nam Rice Festival. Since then, the electronic engineering had made the plan which is ready for ensuring the power source serving other activities in the whole territory of Vi Thanh township and adjacent areas.

* As you said, the electronic engineering is in ready stance now, so is it able to happen for the case of power failure or other electric failures at the time when the first Viet Nam Rice Festival is going to be taken place, dear Sir?

Though the plan of power supply serving the first Viet Nam Rice Festival not only completely depends on the national power network, Hau Giang Power Corporation has equiped many provision dynamos for electrical failures. Besides the company’s provision dynamos with the total capacity of 200 KW, Hau Giang Power Corporation will also borrow further 3 dynamos with the total capacity of 3 X 200 KW from Can Tho city, An Giang and Bac Lieu. Hau Giang Power Corporation has equiped enough equipments and assigned each technical officers the specific working schedule for overcoming the generated failures (if any) promptly. Once more, I can affirm that the electronic engineering is in ready stance now and the power failure situation at the time when the first Viet Nam Rice Festival is going to be taken place in Hau Giang will be incapable of happening.
