Summing-up preliminarily the clearance of National Road 61 Line


* Going on the clearance for the houses which transgress the road corridor.

In the week, the preliminary summing-up meeting of the environmental clearance and sanitation work along National Road 61 line has been done by People’s Committee of Hau Giang province and services and industries concerned, and People’s Committee of Vi Thanh township, Long My district, Vi Thuy, Chau Thanh A.

In the initial assessment, most districts, towns, industries and unions concerned have been campaigning actively the inhabitants for carrying out well the movement in order to welcome the first Viet Nam Rice Festival. In some places, the inhabitants are mobilized for growing lotus in outdoor ditches, as well as clearing and sanitizing the environment along the national road line. However, there are still some cases on the road line without removing temporary houses, especially Xeo Tram bridge, Long Binh commune, Long My district.

In the speech in the preliminary summing-up meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Lap, Vice-Chairperson of Hau Giang People’s Committee, asked that the industries and the localities concerned should care more about the stability of environmental clearance and sanitation on National Road 61 line because the campaign not only served the Festival but also prepared for traditional Tet (New Year Festival) 2010 and other great holidays. In further time, the movement shall be maintained for creating the beautiful landscapes and the clean environment on the national road line. Provincial Agriculture & Rural Development Service shall instruct the inhabitants in growing flowers, bonsai after the clearance for creating the common beauty. Campaigning the environmental sanitation on the route from station No. 10 to Cai Tac town, Chau Thanh A district, especially trading wild animals on the road lines prohibited. It is required for clearing thoroughly and sanitizing the environment along the outdoor ditch lines, fish farming huts along the national road line in Chau Thanh A and Phung Hiep districts. Carrying out the general sanitation for the embankment of Xa No channel, and mobilizing the inhabitants for sanitizing their houses so that the Union is going to recheck at the last time on the next date of 27 November.

* To prepare the Viet Nam Rice Festival, some functional departments of Phung Hiep district have co-ordinated with other districts and towns in the province and People’s Committee of Hoa An, Tan Binh, Kinh Cung, Thanh Hoa communes for clearing the trees along the two sides of National Road 61 (from Xeo Tram bridge to Cai Tac bridge) about 25 km. In the report of Trade and Industry Department, Phung Hiep district, from the date of 9 October 2009 to present, clearing the trees along the two sides of National Road 61 and within the scope of the district has been completed basically, with mobilizing the inhabitants for removing 181 small straw huts and temporary lean-tos, and collecting 63 signboards, and clearing completely 40 houses by the river, ... In the further time, it is going on the clearance for the houses which transgress the corridor of National Road 61, and mobilizing the inhabitants for making new fences and flag masts out of the limit of 7m building line, ...
