In re the art photograph contest-expo in the scale of the first-2009 Vietnam National Festival in Hau Giang

For success and satisfaction of the first-2009 Vietnam National Festival in Hau Giang, the Organization of Vietnam Rice Festival holds the art photograph contest-expo in the scale of the first-2009 Vietnam National Festival in Hau Giang, details as follows:

1. PURPOSES, DEMANDS:

•   To honour the wet rice civilization, promote potentiality and advantages of Vietnam rice together with the anniversary of 1000 years of Thang Long – Ha Noi.
•   To set up, popularize Vietnam rice trademark in the world’s market.
•   To step up production, scientific application, trade, export of rice, to fulfil the Resolution of X Party Central Committee at the 7th session on agriculture, farmers and rural area.
•   To create a new motivity for the construction and development of Hau Giang province.

2. CONTENT:

•   Landscape photographs of nationwide rice paddy field
•   Process of rice farming, cultivating and harvesting.
•   Steps of rice process, trade and export.
•   Any image directly related to rice via creativeness of photograph skill.

3. REGULATIONS:

•   We are pleased to invite all amateur and professional photographers to join in the contest.
•   Not more than 10 pictures for each candidate (including colored or black and white pictures). For one main big photograph attached by another of standard size (10cm x 15cm) for the use of propaganda, catalogue printing in the contest.
•   The photographer who joins in the contest should use one name (true name or pen name), fill in the form and paste on the right corner of the reserve side of the photograph.

•  Picture size for the contest from 30cm x 40cm to 30cm x 45cm, if it is a square picture, each edge should be 30cm, if it is a panorama, each longest edge is not more than 45cm.
•   Accepting photograph handing techniques but the picture’s content and event mustn’t wrong.
•   Old and bad quality pictures, pictures of expo and winning in the contest of city, region and nation and in the contests sponsored by Vietnam Phographers’ Association are not accepted,
•   Pictures shouldn’t pasted on the cardboard or plastic pressed.

4. TIME AND PLACE:

•   Time for receipt of photographs as of the notice date until 30/10/2009.
•   Examing from the 10th to November 13th, 2009.
•   Opening and exhibitting photographs and awarding the prize at 8:00 on November 25th, 2009.
•   The site of exhibition and prize awarding at the hall of house A ( the central house) of The first -2009 Vietnam National Rice Festival in Hau Giang.

5. THE PRIZE STRUCTURE:

•   The first prize: 01 prize, value of VND 10,000,000.
•   The second prize: 02 prizes, value of VND 7,000,000/prize.
•   The third prize: 04 prizes, value of VND 4,000,000/prize.
•   Consolation prize: 10 prizes, value of VND 1,500,000/prize.
•   Selection of expo photographs: 70 photographs and royalties according to the Organization Committee’s regulations.
•   Who wins the prize shall be given a certificate and augite.
•   The photographer whose picture won the prize is given marks according to the regulations of Vietnam Photographers’ Association .

* The judge shall invite Vietnam Photographers’ Association and Ho Chi Minh city Photographers’ Association.
