Cam mountain (Thien Cam Son)

Cam mountain belongs to the group of seven mountains of the Mekong Delta region, in An Hao commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province.

Its height is 710m, rises impressively in the middle of the Mekong Delta region. There are Phat Lon Pagoda (Big buddha pagoda), Mountain God Temple, Van Linh Pagoda – an impressive and miraculous tower, the biggest statue of Di Lac Buddha in Vietnam. The climate is fresh all year round, the natural scenery is unique and beautiful. There are many flowers and fruits, birds and beasts, mountains and forests, waterfalls, attractive and magnificent caves. Its specialities are Thot Not sugar and Thanh Ca mango.

At the foot of the mountain to the east is Lam Vien Cam Mountain tourist site of which area of about 100 hectares has various entertainment services, Kaolin restaurant serves specialities of seven mountains. There is a path to the mountain from Lam Vien, on the way to the mountain, tourists come over to take a bath at Thanh Long spring (dragon spring), a natural and dreamful spring, and then go on the trip to the junction, it is “ Cam mountain plateau”, turning right for about one km is Vo Thien Tue (Thien Tue maul), back to the left along the slope to Phat Lon pagoda (Big buddha pagoda). On the way, we can come over to visit Thuy Liem Cave, to O Cat (sand gate) visiting Vo Bach Tuong (a big rock with white elephant picture standing by the mountain side impressively). Then visiting Phat Lon pagoda (Big buddha pagoda), Van Linh pagoda and Vo Bo Lon (big cow maul), Van Linh pagoda, and then Vo Bo Hong (Bo Hong maul), the highest peak of Cam mountain and of the Mekong Delta’s mountains, if the weather is good, we can see Ha Tien sea from here.

Oc Eo- Thoai Son Cultural Vestige

In Sap – Ba The mountain area, Thoai Son district, An Giang province, it is a large ancient vestige associating material relics of Funan kingdom, a power nation in the Southeast Asian Nations two thousand years ago. Oc Eo ancient citadel, which is a trading port in the middle ages, was sunk in the ground and found when Ba The channel dredged.

Ong Ho isle and Memorial of Ton Duc Thang President

Ong Ho isle is built up by Hau river’s alluvium. There is a cottage where memories of Ton Duc Thang president are kept. Flowers and fruit trees are luxuriant in the precinct. Ong Ho isle, which is in My Hoa Hung commune, is separated by a branch of Hau river from Long Xuyen city. We can reach at Ong Ho isle by any means of transport on road or water way. We have a chance to see the memorial cottage of Uncle Ton Duc Thang’s childhood and his relics here.

Besides, tourists can stay at homestays to enoy fruits, special foods and listen to the south traditional amateur music, and learn the south people’s life, visit fish rafts along the isle banks. Tuc Dup Hill

Tuc Dup hill is in An Ninh commune, Tri Ton district, 10 km from Cambodian border. Water in the lake is crystal all year round and colorful flowers in the hill as in the tale. The path to the hill is tiled by smooth and beautiful stone. Caves and hundreds of ins and outs remain as the past, opening its arms to welcome friends. Coming to Tuc Dup hill, remember to dress neatly, wear sport shoes and bring a flashlight along because there are some dark sections in the caves, there are caves of a Military Command, Propaganda and Training Section, Women’s Association, Civil Medical Service, and Cold Rice…and C6 Hall containing more than 150 people. Each cave has its own feature with artistic interposing stones. There are some floors are timber, some are stone and others are bamboo pieces. The air is as fresh as fixed with air-conditioner.

Hang Pagoda

Separated from Sam mountain vestiges, at the altitude of thousands of meters, at a peaceful place, Hang pagoda is known as an ancient and solemn place with legends transmitted orally from ages to ages attracting curious tourists. The pagoda was built in 1840-1845. Hang pagoda is an attractive place of interest thanks to its natural and man-made beauty.

Tay An pagoda

Locates at the junction, by Sam mountain’s foot (284m altitude), in Vinh Te commune, Chau Doc town, An Giang province, 5km from Chau Doc town. Tay An pagoda was built as the design of “Tam” word, Indian and Islam Art style and ancient pagoda architecture of Vietnam.

Thoai Ngoc Hau mausoleum

Thoai Ngoc Hau mausoleum is in Vinh Te commune, Chau Doc town, it is one of vestiges by the foot of Sam mountain. The temple of Mr. Thoai Ngoc Hau, his tomb and his two wives’ were built here in 1930s of 20th century.
